Reports tell us that only about 30% of scammed individuals report the crime. This is because scam victims think they are to blame and are embarrass thus avoid speaking about the incident. This negative emotional and mental burden is sometimes transcended to loved ones, out of their deep concern for the victim.

Today, adults sandwiched between aging parents and growing teens are caught in a constant and fast evolving world of technology change. These changes present cyber threats which, as caregiving adults, need to be aware of to maintain guardianship over those we love.

This series provides an introduction into the present and emerging threats, as well as an engaging 'Ask Me Anything' segment for audience to interact with expert panelists.

In partnership with the National Library Board, White Byte presents an informative and  session on the different categories of fake news, scams from deceptive communication and preventive steps that you can take to safeguard yourself and your family members.
